I follow a lot of hijab fashion and advice blogs. One really common item to “hijabify” an outfit are attachable and detachable sleeves. They are great when you have a loose, long, modest top that has one unforgivable flaw: short sleeves. However, these wonderful inventions are hard to find and right now I don’t have the money to invest in a pair. I did however have a long sleeved shirt which I was not wearing.

So I decided to sit down and upcycle that shirt! I made my own sleeves by cutting the sleeves off the shirt, right at the seam. I left the angle at the top of the sleeves because I safety pin it to my bra straps. They work wonderfully! I am glad I thought to make these.
